Hi, my chickens are doing good.We built a coop for them. We used two nine foot 2x4s, chicken wire, one door hinge,and a staple gun.My chickens are living in it right now.We built an A-frame first then put on the chicken wire. Then covered the top where they lay their eggs. They are eating the bugs on the ground.Little Ann is still smarter than Rue. But Rue is braver than Ann.

We finished reading A wrinkle in time.It is a good book.We did a packet after every four chapters and made a lapbook about the book. Charles Wallace is my favorite character because he is a genius. Thanks for reading!

Your coop looks AMAZING! Did you do most of the work, or did your dad? Using a staple gun is very fun, as long as someone is helping you. I'm 23 and when I use a staple gun I have to have my mom with me!! Okay, maybe it's because I'm a little scared of them, too. But you have to respect power tools or you can get into big trouble!
So how do you feel about keeping chickens? I know your sister was pretty psyched about her garden. Are you just as happy with your responsibility of chickens? Do you think you'd keep other animals around, too? What would you get if you could pick any animal for a pet?
If I could I would definitely pick a giraffe for a pet. Maybe on second thought I wouldn't. I'm sort of short and giraffes are extra tall, so maybe I'd just get a koala. :)
